Our Client’s Challenge

Tania from Bernedoodles and Co had a relatively new site, about a year old. She was struggling to gain visibility for her puppies in the local San Francisco bay area and surrounding locations. Several other sites outside of her local area were ranking higher than her local site. Many of Tania’s pages were ranking at the bottom of the first page or on the second page. In her (correct) opinion, she should be ranking for local searches instead of other California-based sites. After we reviewed Bernedoodles and Co, we found that several sites hundreds of miles away were ranking over Tania’s site.

Pinkhat Code’s Audit and Solution

PInkhat Code reviewed Tania’s site, and we determined that the site lacked content to help draw in user searches related to her local area and target market. She had great pictures and received traffic from her social media activities, but her lack of visibility from Google search was from missing content that would answer user queries. Luckily, her local queries were not affected by AI-generated answers, so her site had potential to increase traffic as long as it ranked within the top three results in Google. We decided to add content to her site, answer questions based on query volume and interest, and add more informational content that Google could use for better ranking. Our goal was to get Bernedoodles and Co “above the scroll,” mean the first three results where users would not need to scroll down the page to find Tania’s site.

With our content marketing efforts using on-site and off-site articles, Pinkhat Code was able to give Bernedoodles and Co higher ranking in Google. In addition, Bernedoodles and Co is also displayed in the AI-generated answers for Bernedoodle puppy queries.
